Fun Enjoyable Fun Enjoyable: Rebecca Black Joins Katy Perry Onstage For "Friday" Functionality

Katy Perry returned towards the city she now calls residence, La, on August five for a three-night stint in the Nokia Theater, the latest quit on her California Dreams Tour. And whilst her crowd-pleasing set was packed with surprising addresses (such as Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" as well as a mashup of Rihanna's "Only Lady Within the World"/Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair"/Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin'"), it was one more cover, of Rebecca Black's "Friday" with fellow California gurl Rebecca herself joining in, that was the greatest surprise of all. And it just so transpired for being a Friday night!

Katy appears established to assist Rebecca Black--or "the notorious Rebecca Black," as Katy released her towards the Nokia crowd--extend her 15 minutes of fame. Rebecca lately produced a cameo in Katy's "Last Friday Night" video clip (taking part in the BFF of Katy's geek-girl alter ego, Kathy Beth Terry), and if the two reunited onstage this week, Katy beamed at her like a proud mom figure. Their shock duet ended with a hug, right after which Katy sweetly declared, "That was our instant," referencing Rebecca's new "My Moment" solitary.

Ironically, though, Katy upstaged her young cost, as her exceptional "Friday" vocals completely confused Rebecca's reedier voice. (And Katy's fluffy pink circus-girl get-up undoubtedly took interest from Rebecca's more sedate gray tunic and black leggings.) But that did not matter--the unison singing because of the sold-out Nokia crowd in the course of this a cappella duet virtually drowned out each girls, particularly when partyin', partyin' spectators chanted the song's "yeahs" correct on cue.

Declared Katy afterwards , "Damn it, I really like the net!" And we're positive Rebecca feels the identical way. The 14-year-old viral video sensation's daily life is presently a California dream come true.
